Daniel 7 Connection
The sea beast combines characteristics of all four beasts from Daniel's vision
Daniel 7:25: "And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time." (= 3.5 years = 42 months = 1260 days)
The Pattern Revealed
Sea Beast: Rises from populated Europe. Composite of pagan empires. Receives power from Satan. Persecutes saints for 1260 years. Receives deadly wound. Wound heals. World follows.
Earth Beast: Rises from less populated area (New World). Appears lamb-like (Christian, peaceful). Speaks like dragon (eventually). Creates image to first beast. Enforces the mark. Controls commerce.
The first beast persecuted directly. The second beast enforces worship of the first. Together they accomplish what neither could alone.
