The 1260-Year Prophecy

The Prophecy

Daniel 7:25 prophesied that a power would "wear out the saints" for "a time, times, and half a time" (3.5 prophetic years).

Using the day-year principle (Numbers 14:34, Ezekiel 4:6), this equals 1,260 literal years.

The Fulfillment

538 AD: Justinian's decree establishes papal supremacy. The last Arian power driven from Rome.

1798 AD: General Berthier takes Pope Pius VI prisoner. Temporal power ends.

538 + 1260 = 1798. Exactly.
